TENSOR Shines at Projects to Policy Seminar (PPS) 2023
TENSOR, represented by its coordinator, Netcompany-Intrasoft, made a significant impact at the annual ‘Projects to Policy Seminar (PPS)’ held in Brussels, Belgium. The seminar, organized by DG HOME and REA, brought together over 130 participants from more than 40 Horizon Europe funded projects. The event aimed to raise awareness among policy DGs about the newly launched projects while providing guidance on policy-related outputs of interest. TENSOR’s participation at PPS highlighted its commitment to contributing to EU security policies.
Building Connections for Enhanced Security
The Projects to Policy Seminar served as a platform for EU policy makers, Commission Directorates General, and EU agencies to engage with project organizers in the civil security domain. This exchange of views and knowledge ensured that the research results presented by participating projects would directly contribute to the future design and implementation of EU security policies. It also provided an opportunity for policy makers to share the latest developments in the EU’s security policy landscape.
Thematic Breakout Sessions and Plenary Presentations
The in-person event featured thematic breakout sessions and a plenary session with presentations of general interest. The plenary presentations covered essential topics such as communication, dissemination strategies, and the utilization of project research results through tools like the Horizon Results Platform and the Horizon Booster Service. These sessions provided valuable insights and practical guidance to project coordinators on effectively disseminating their findings and maximizing their impact.
Networking and Collaboration
Between breakout sessions, participants utilized the seminar’s networking opportunities to connect with colleagues from various thematic areas. This aspect of the event facilitated cross-pollination of ideas and fostered potential collaborations among the diverse range of stakeholders present. By engaging in informal discussions and exchanging experiences, attendees were able to broaden their perspectives and explore potential synergies that could further enhance EU security initiatives.
CERIS: Strengthening Interactions and Support
The Community of European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS), launched by DG HOME, played a vital role in supporting the actions undertaken during the Projects to Policy Seminar. CERIS serves as a platform to enhance interactions between practitioners, academia, policy makers, and industry, thereby creating a robust ecosystem for the advancement of security research and innovation. Its involvement further emphasized the commitment of the EU to fostering collaboration and driving meaningful change in the security domain.
