Call for Papers 

Scope:  

The rising adoption of biometric technologies reflects a fundamental shift towards more secure, efficient and user-friendly methods of person recognition (authentication and verification), revolutionizing various industries and reshaping the way individuals interact with digital systems and services. The latest advancements in biometrics encompass 3D facial images, contactless friction-ridge biometrics, iris recognition from long distances, palm vein, periocular biometrics, gait recognition and DNA biometrics. In this sense, we kindly invite authors and researchers to present their groundbreaking studies, innovative methodologies and real-world applications, shedding light on the potential challenges and ethical considerations within the realm of modern biometrics. 

Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following areas (additional to the technical areas listed here):

• Deep Learning and AI in Biometrics 
• Biometric Encryption and Security 
• Legal and Ethical Implications of biometric technologies

Registration & Submission Guidelines: 

Authors are invited to submit original contributions on all ΕΕΙΤΕ-related aspects within the technical areas listed here. Only full 2-column, 4 to 6 pages papers, prepared according to ΙΕΕΕ paper templates will be peer-reviewed and checked for plagiarism using the IEEE CrossCheck portal. Papers should be uploaded in PDF-format through the online conference system before February 29th, 2024. 

The presenters, who would like to benefit from a publication to the proceedings volume, should prepare and submit their full paper of their presentation, ready for peer review, before the deadline. Final versions of accepted full papers which will be presented at oral or poster sessions at EEITE 2024, will be submitted for publication in the IEEE Xplore® database.

The deadline for the submission of the full papers or extended abstracts is Thursday 29 of February 2024. 

SUBMISSION 

 Registration fees – EEITE 2024: 

For Publication in the Conference Proceedings by IEEE and for indexing in IEEExplore, Scopus, Google Scholar, etc. (after peer review), with 2 Coffee-breaks per day and Banquet:
200 EUR (for registration until April 30, 2024) or 250 EUR (for registration after April 30, 2022) 

The deadline for the registration is  Thursday 30 of April 2024.
